Laurie Lacca has been developing websites since the early nineties when she was one of the first teachers in her school district to design a classroom and team website so that parents and students could easily check on important dates, homework, school news, etc.

 

In 1999, Laurie was recruited to become the computer teacher and librarian for Waverly East Intermediate School. She was selected due to her technology literacy and passion for cutting edge instruction.

 

After moving to Washtenaw County, Laurie became the technology teacher and media specialist for Whitmore Lake Middle School. She brought many new ideas and ways to integrate technology into the middle school curriculum. She also assisted the district in aligning its curriculum with the state technology standards and benchmarks.

 

After 16 years of teaching in the public school systems, Laurie earned licenses in "Investment Company Products and Variable Contracts" (Series 6) and "Blue-Sky Uniform Securities Agent" (Series 63). She assisted Finlan Asset Management, Inc. increase their assets under management by $10 million in just one year. By focusing on the design and analysis of financial plans for individuals and institutions, she addressed the various planning needs for clients, prepared marketing and enrollment materials, and developed the original website.

 

In 2007, Laurie decided to take on the challenge of forming her own company in honor of her father, Edward Kokmeyer, who was also a local business owner. The colleagues that work together at Realize Websites are diverse in their expertise and believe in the principles of building community relationships and helping individuals succeed.

 

Laurie earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Michigan State University in K-8 Education and her Masters of Education from Grand Valley State University in Educational Administration. She also has earned an endorsement in Information Technology and Library Science.

 

Tracey Mayrand has over 20 years of Sales and Customer Service experience. Her dynamic personality, excellent interpersonal skills and strong work ethic continues to make her very successful.

 

As a new home sales consultant with Norfolk Homes, Tracey sold over 25 million dollars in residential new construction. She effectively managed the sales office, negotiated contracts and participated in trade shows, expos and open houses. In addition, she worked closely with the marketing department to create advertising publications, generate new incentives, and organize and implement community events.

 

As a publishing software sales representative, Tracey represented Woodwing USA. Through her upbeat "can do" attitude and her strong work ethic, she was in charge of trade show and convention preparations and implementations. Through her honesty, integrity and dependability, Tracey built an excellent reputation in the industry. She created and maintained positive relationships to ensure continued business and generate leads and referrals. Woodwing USA presently employs her to represent their publishing software at events nationwide.

 

As a 401(k) retirement enrollment specialist with Finlan Asset Management, Inc., Tracey aided hundreds of clients plan and invest for their future. She organized and completed many enrollment meetings with various companies throughout America.

 

Tracey earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University in Education and obtained her real estate license. She is a Dexter graduate, married to fellow alumnus, and is raising her two sons in this thriving community.
